Patricia Stevens Loveless is internationally known for her find
reproductions of dolls with classic antique faces, dressed in her
original costumes. For this series Patricia has selected her favorite
Jumeau faces to be recreated in delicately hand painted fine porcelain.
Each fabric and trim used in the elegant and elaborate costume has
been chosen with care to create a look that is authentic to the Jumeau era.
Your Enchantment of Jumeau doll has been fashioned of the
finest materials and is issued exclusively by the Designer Guild
Collection in a limited edition, hand numbered on the back of the
neck, where the artist's personal signature mark is also inscribed
in 18kt. gold. DOLL IS #556/2000 CLOSED WORLDWIDE EDITION
Historical Notes on this packaging! Patricia Loveless has lovingly
created "The Enchantment of Jumeau" series as a tribute to
the genius of Emile-Louis Jumaeu. In keeping
with the historical
accuracy of each doll's interpretation, The Designer Guild Collection
has replicated packing authentic to the Jumeau era. White the
very first Jumeau dolls were packaged in plain wooden boxes, brown
board boxes began to be used in 1880's. They were manufactured
at the Jumeau factory in Montreuil, France and featured a simple
black, brown and white label at the foot of the box denoting only
JUMEAU and the dolls size. Special Edition dolls had a red color
added to it's label. Our modern interpretation includes important
additional information on the labels but follows the design
specifications of the originals.
