Become a Salmon License Plate VIP! This auction is for VIP spot #13. Having the highest bid reserves your opportunity to register for plate number SM 00013 when the plates are released. To be eligible to bid, you must qualify for Oregon vehicle registration and have the plate issued to a passenger vehicle. The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) will follow-up with each auction winner after the auction closes to collect information needed to secure the VIP list spot.

The redesigned Salmon License plate is available for passenger vehicles through the Oregon DMV beginning September 1, 2021. To launch the new plate, we are auctioning 20 low number spots on the Salmon Plate VIP List. Proceeds obtains through this auction will go to statewide organizations that commit to use the donated funds for education, outreach, and on-the-ground projects that support salmon recovery and native salmon habitat in Oregon. Auction winners can designate an organization to receive their donation from amongst a list of identified nonprofits.

Salmon have great cultural, economic, and recreational importance to Oregonians. When you buy a Salmon License plate, you are investing in salmon recovery. Since 1998, the Salmon License plate has raised money for the protection and restoration of salmon habitat in Oregon through investments made by the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board and the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
