Thrifting find. Frankoma Pottery tomato red coffee mug in the contemporary Mountain Air line, produced in the early 2000s. The pros in a Frankoma collectors group tell me the red glaze was only used for a short period of time. Unglazed bottom has the impressed Frankoma mark and MA306. The glaze is a slightly bubbly, thick texture that feels nice in your hands. Thick, comfortable handle. The mug is thick and substantial and is just under 4” tall. No chips, cracks, crazing, or damage that I could find. Really a nice example of a hard-to-find newer Frankoma.
