    Genuine silver star citation for a couple Stinson USMC Okinawa.
    " FOR CONSPICUOUS GALLANTRY AND INTREPIDITY IN ACTION AGAINST THE ENEMY WHILE ATTACHED TO A MARINE ROCKET DETACHMENT ON OKINAWA, SHIMA, RYUKYU ISLANDS, ON JUNE 21ST, 1945.AS A ROCKER CREW CHIEF,ENGAGED WITH HIS UNIT IN MOPPING UP OPERATIONS, CORPORAL STINSON OBSERVED A WOUNDED MARINE AT THE MOUTH OF A CAVE WHO WAS UNABLE TO MOVE HIMSELF TO SAFETY. ALTHOUGH THE CREW WAS PINNED DOWN BY ENEMY GRENADES AND SMALL ARMS FIRE AT THE TIME, HE ADVANCED AND RESCUED THE WOUNDED MARINE. DURING THIS ACTION HIS CLOTHING WAS PERFORATED BY ENEMY FIRE. HIS UTTER DISREGARD FOR HIS OWN PERSONAL SAFETY AND HIS CAL COURAGEUNDER ENEMY FIRE WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE. "
    Stinson was a rocket crewman with HQ Co, HQ Bn, 2nd Mar div. He was a combat veteran of Saipan, Tinian and Okinawa. Their were not many 2nd div combat vets of Okinawa. Only the 8th Marines and 2/10, along with a handful of support units like Stinson's.
    Along with a citation or his graduating Boot Camp photo to group photos from the South Pacific with everybody identified! Also are Many single original still shots taken overseas obviously, of Stinson and combat companions. .
