In Segmented Turning, getting an accurate cut is everything. Having gaps can cause not only aesthetic defects but safety hazards. Because of this, most wood turners make their own or buy a Wedgie sled to give then the most accurate cut they can get. The problem: There is nowhere to get an accurate stop block to give you the ideal cuts for your table saw.
With this design you can cut perfect wedges for your bowls, vases or any other segmented project quickly and accurately.
The Wedgie Stopblock’s design works by calibrating the tool to your table saw, zeroing it to the blade and dialing in the gap for your part.
The T track fits almost every Table Saw and has a built-in screwing wedge mechanism to hold you stop block tight and in place. Its off-center hole means that you will always be keeping the dimensions accurate by pushing the stop block towards the blade not away from it.
The Calibration slider allows you to adjust the zero point to fit your table saw perfectly. Simply extend the top arm till it touches the blade, move the calibration to the stop and tighten the screws.
